In summer, our hair has been damaged enough by the sun and the sea. Some hair styling habits can cause hair to look brittle, dull, lifeless and even fall out.
What Should You Pay Attention to When Styling Your Hair?
To help you style your hair without damaging it, you can pay attention to the following
-Dry your hair after a shower or bath by wrapping it in a towel. Another alternative is to let your hair air dry.
-People with coarse, brittle, curly or wavy hair should comb their hair when wet to reduce the chance of hair breakage
-Keep brushing to a minimum. If your hair receives more than 100 brush strokes every day, it can cause split ends.
Reduce the use of “long-lasting” styling products. Using a comb to style your hair after applying these products can cause hair breakage and hair loss over time.
-Allow your hair to partially dry before styling or combing.
Reducing the number of blow-dryings also helps to limit damage.
-Curling irons should be used on dry hair, on low or medium heat settings. They should not be used more often than every other day.
-If you are using a round curling iron, only touch the hair for one or two seconds and then release. Regardless of your hair type, excessive heat can damage your hair.
-Constant use of braids, ponytails, tight buns or hair clips pulls the hair and can cause maturity that can lead to breakage. If the tension continues, permanent hair loss may develop.
