Acne treatment is planned individually. A standard protocol is not applied to each patient. A unique treatment is planned by evaluating the patient’s medical history together with the examination findings.

What is acne (pimples)?
Acne is one of the most common skin diseases today.
How does acne appear?
Pimples (acne) are often found in oilier areas of the skin. They may appear as red, pink or yellow, inflamed or non-inflamed bumps, black spots (open comedones), white small bumps (closed comedones) or cystic structures.
While acne is most commonly seen on the face, it can also occur on the shoulders, neck, chest, back, scalp and upper arms. Early diagnosis and appropriate treatment are important because they may cause permanent scars and may lead to social withdrawal, loss of self-confidence and depression.
During puberty, acne may appear due to the effect of changing hormones. Sometimes the onset of acne can be after the 20s, and this type of acne is defined as adult acne. The treatment process in adult acne is longer than in adolescent acne, the disease is more resistant and requires more patience. Adult acne is more common in women.
In the skin, sebaceous glands open to hair follicles. When these hair follicles (follicles) are clogged with excess sebum (oil) and dead skin residues, pimples are formed. Genetic, hormonal and environmental factors lead to increased oil production, resulting in black and whiteheads (comedones). The sheath of the clogged hair follicles breaks down after a while, and as a result of dead tissue residues and sebum leaking between the tissues, inflammations, red bumps, inflammations and cysts begin to appear on the skin.
