Mid Face Filler

Especially in the late 20s – early 30s, the cheeks begin to lose their former plump appearance. Displacement and sagging are seen with a decrease in fat tissue volume and loosening of the connective tissues that hold them in place.

The mid-face area flattens, the relationship between the lower eyelid and the cheek deteriorates, the under-eyes look tired, the folds on the nasolabial area between the nose and lips increase, the corner of the lip turns downwards, leading to a sad expression, the sagging that continues on the lower face crosses the jaw line and disrupts the sharp transition of the jaw-neck line.

All of this happens right in front of our eyes, but because of the slow pace of events, it is often first noticed in photographs.

The facial features of youth, resembling a triangle with the top up, gradually become rectangular.

The aim of mid-face filler is to reduce the sad and tired expression by replacing what we have lost over time with hyaluronic acid fillers, and to move the tissues that have started to sag down over time upwards by supporting them with vectorial forces. Mid-face filler is often preferred to provide a suitable and solid support before under-eye filler, nasolabial filler or jawline filler applications. It reduces the amount of fillers that will need to be applied in these areas, reduces the rectangular appearance of the face and provides oval and curved, distinct and strong facial features.

The effects are immediately visible and last for an average of 12-18 months. Since the fillers also stimulate collagen production as they dissolve, better results are often observed even after the dissolution period of the fillers is completed compared to the pre-filling period.
