Q-Switch Laser Treatment
Simultaneously with dark spot treatment, Q-Switch laser also stimulates collagen production in the deep tissues of the skin, helping the skin to maintain its youthfulness.

Q-switch ND YAG laser treatment is a procedure that reduces the visibility of dark discolorations, freckles, sunspots and dark tattoos on the skin, and sometimes makes them disappear almost completely. Simultaneously with pigmentation treatment, it also stimulates collagen production in the deep tissues of the skin, helping the skin to maintain its youthfulness.
How Does Q-Switch Laser Work?
At a wavelength of 1064 nanometers, laser beams are packed with high amounts of energy. Beams of this wavelength propagate in nanoseconds and are absorbed by a molecule in the skin called “melanin”, which gives the skin its color. This high energy causes melanin to break into small pieces. This reduces the appearance of existing spots. In tattoo removal, this substance that traps the energy is the pigment applied externally under the skin during tattooing. Again, the laser beams are trapped by this pigment and this intense energy causes the pigment to break into small pieces. The cells responsible for healing in the skin gradually remove these small pieces from the scene. The transmission of energy in nanoseconds ensures that the normal areas of the skin are not affected by this heat energy.
