How is Mole Removal Procedure Performed?
The procedure is performed under sterile conditions. The area where the mole will be removed is numbed by injecting local anesthetic with very fine-tipped needles. After this stage, the procedure is completely painless.
The mole (nevus) planned to be removed is surgically removed with all its borders and deeply. After the mole is removed, the remaining skin gap is closed with thin sutures. Depending on the characteristics of the area where the procedure is applied, the stitches are checked approximately 7-10 days later and the stitches placed during the procedure are removed.
Will there be a scar after mole removal?

In order to minimize the risk of scarring, it is generally recommended to use silicone-based scar gels for an average of 4 months after the stitches are removed. Afterwards, methods such as fractional laser, microneedleing, fractional RF, PRP can be used in scar treatment.
