How should skin care be in your 20 s?

Basic principles in skin care at young ages;

  • Clean
  • Moisturise
  • Protect

are enough.

The skin should be washed and cleaned in the morning and evening .

Later on the morning routine , moisturising cream suitable for the skin type should be applied. As the last step , sun cream should be applied. Sunscreens should be applied regularly throughout the year , not only in the summer months, or just at the seaside. It should not be forgotten that the protection time of sunscreens is approximately 2 hours, should be repeated if necessary.

In the evening , a double-stage cleansing can be done to cleanse the skin.

The aim of the two-stage cleansing is to dissolve the makeup or sunscreen residues that accumulate during the day and make them ready for washing. Micellar water, cleansing balm or oils can be used in the two-stage cleansing.

What else can be done apart from daily basic care?

After the cleansing step, the care routine can be completed by applying a moisturizer suitable for the skin to replace the moisture lost during the day.

Deep medical skin care can be done once a month. It is important for the skin to be healthier, more vibrant and to be thoroughly cleaned.

In addition to these, the use of antioxidant vitamin C serums and anti-aging vitamin A serums can be started in the 20s.

What should definitely not be done in your 20s for a healthy skin?

  • Make-up should never be worn to sleep. Especially at a young age, tinted sunscreens can be used instead of foundation.
  • Sunburn and tanning should be avoided. Solarium should be avoided.
  • Uncontrolled use of acid – uncontrolled excessive peeling should not be carried out.
  • Harmful habits should be avoided(fast food, smoking, etc.)
